Soil samples were collected, mixed, and pulverized in a roller mill using ceramic stones. The soil was thoroughly mixed and sifted to remove small gravel and other unbroken concretions. Samples of 300 grams each were weighed, one for the control and one for the test sample.
Water (50 ml) was added to the control sample and mixed thoroughly. Excel was added to the second sample (1 gram dissolved in 50 ml water). Both samples were thoroughly dried and then separately pulverized. The samples were sent to the Texas Soil and Plant Lab for analysis.
Summary:
The analysis in the following table verifies that Excel will increase the solubility and availability of soil-bound Phosphorous, Calcium, Magnesium, Iron, and Manganese, and release bound sodium.
